Maintaining the grounds at St. Mary's is a year-round task. A number of volunteers spend time mowing the grass, trimming the hedges and weeding the flower beds. Some work is carried out on a Friday morning; some on a more ad hoc basis. Occasionally there is a gardening day at the weekend to make a bit more progress.
